You know you are tired when….part 2

As we end another busy week, the husband heads off for a couple of days work away (Lucky man!) and the toddler’s energy levels soar to a new bouncing off the walls high, the time seemed right for the next instalment of the Up All Hours ‘You know you are tired when’ series of posts.

These are things that I have actually done. No word of a lie. I can only hope that after reading them you will still have some respect for me!

Welcome to part 2.

You know you are tired when……….

1) In a blurry eyed stupor at 5.40am, you make your morning cuppa in the toddlers tippy cup and present him his milk in your mug. He was not impressed;

Teabag

2) You work late, throw your clothes off and climb into bed. You oversleep, throw your jeans on ( yes, the same pair. I had no time & don’t do it often!) and run out of the house. After grabbing your morning office from a busy high street coffee shop, you feel a lump half way down your leg. ‘What is that,’ you wonder?

It would be yesterday’s knickers of course. Don’t judge me, I am working really hard at the minute;

Oh come on, you've done it! Haven't you?!

Oh come on, you’ve done it! Haven’t you?!

3) You consistently get yourself caught up in your own clothes. It’s something that my mother does. (Sorry mum!) Well, I now do it too. Not sure if it is an age or tiredness thing but either way, it happens and it is annoying.

See below for a classic example of a handbag caught up in the scarf situation;

4) And finally, when running yourself a nice hot bath at the end of a long day, you use Boots Baby bath and put the non slip mats down. Guess it is safe if nothing else.

Bath

My Rituals Fig bath soak will remain unopened until B is 18.

So, If you can still look me in the eye, you might like to read Part one of ‘You know you are tired when’

    I found this post so funny, I don’t have any children but I have suffered from the “underwear still in jeans” problems, i think it was during my summer exams. I heard you on radio 4 and found your interview incredibly interesting, thought i would check out your blog xx
