Beginning the wedding shedding!

I want to lose weight. So why don’t I?!

Here’s the deal. Baby B is 23 months old. To cut to the chase, I am still 16lbs over my pre pregnancy weight. That is not huge, I am not obese or particularly unhealthy for that matter, but I am still not back into my fav skinny jeans. Actually I can’t even get them over my hips! I’ve managed to squeeze myself into other pairs, which I can’t wear out for dinner as they hinder the amount I can eat, but they are good for during the day and going places that don’t involve much sitting down.

My other half is extremely patience with me. Patient about my complete love of food, my impressive appetite and my greed, all combined with my constant going on about wanting to lose weight!

I really do want to lose weight…..but yet I don’t do anything about it and I don’t understand why. Is it my hatred for exercise? My inability to leave food on a plate? (or see food left on other people’s plates for that matter) My laze at not joining a gym or run club?  My annoyance that when i do exercise I go bright red within seconds of doing up my trainers and look like I am going to pass out? (very jealous of women who manage to look good whilst exercising. I do not) Or perhaps, it’s my sweet tooth and secret love of those fruit shoot sour sweets?!

I guess it’s a combination of them all.

But finally 23 months later, after my first promise to myself that i would slim up, I have decided to really do it. In addition, there are plans afoot to get married at the end of the year so as a friend of mine called it, I am starting the ‘wedding shedding’!.

I’ve decided that by writing this blog post and sharing my little (attempt at a) weight lose journey with you all, maybe perhaps I’ll crack it and be able to breath whilst wearing theses bad boys –
My nemesis jeans

My nemesis jeans

Even went for a little run last week in my new cool light as a feather Nike trainers. Thought I might as well look the part. I managed a staggering 15 minutes before retreating home to dust down my inhaler! Prior to pregnancy I was up to running 6 miles at a time. I have some to do!

So please wish me luck – I’m going to need it!!!

Good luck, it took me over 2 years to get back to the beginning, but I blame a lot of that on too many coffee and cake mornings!

It’s crazy how fast the time passes and before you know it its been 2 years. Cake most definitely has a part to play for me too! and just overeating/greed in general! 🙂 Thank you for commenting x

Thank you very much! If in the mean time you find a diet which allows us to eat what we like and not have to exercise let me know! 🙂 x

  6. I found that by blogging about my weightloss (search Dukan? You Can! on my blog), made me stick to the diet as I didn’t want to end up with egg on my face so to speak! I go through fits and starts with exercise – the same with my food. Although I can highly recommend Dukan! It really worked for me. It’s just a case of finding whats right for you. Good luck with it all. Thank you for linking up to PoCoLo, I am certain that we will all be there supporting you xx
