Love The Little Things

I rarely join in with Linkys but have decided to get a head start on my New Years resolution to write more on this blog, by getting into some now. I have always enjoyed reading the posts on ‘But Why Mummy Why‘  and really enjoy her linky ‘Love The Little Things’ so, this seemed a good place to start and a great Linky to join in with.

Read

A lot about Kidney Stones! My poor mum was in and out of hospital this week with suspected Kidney Stones. She was in a great deal of pain, which is thankfully subsiding now, but it was pretty scary there for awhile. Fingers crossed whatever was causing the pain has buggered off now!

Watched

Currently a bit obsessed with the BBC drama ‘The Missing’. I was always going to be a fan as our mate Jason Flemyng is in it but it is brilliant. Every parents worst nightmare, it is hard to watch at times but has you on the edge of your seat and has left us speculating as to who ‘did it’.

Wore

Hubby, I and a crew of fabulous friends were thrilled to attend a friends 40th birthday party at the stunning Babington House in Somerset this week. The theme was ‘A midwinters nights dream’, it was just stunning and all the guests were given a freshly made garland. So this week I got to wear a wonderful garland headband, which I just LOVE. #bestpartyever

Heard

A lot of animals make a lot of noises! We made an impromptu visit to Longleat Safari park on Friday and the little man loved it. It is an amazing place with loads to do. It’s an all day visit, especially at this time of year with loads of Christmas things to do including a Santa Train, singing Christmas tree and A LOT of Christmas lights to see!

Made

Christmas is a notoriously unhealthy time of year. I obviously embrace the over eating with gusto. However, in an effort to stay clear of my nemesis, Crisps, we made our own Christmas Kale ones! Delish if I do say so myself. Look out for a blog post on them in early December

And lastly…

It’s nearly Christmas!!! God, that has come round quick hasn’t it. December is shaping up to be a really really busy month for us work wise. The house is in a state of complete disarray and the diary for the month makes me really sad that we won’t be getting as much time together as a family as I would like. However, I am focusing on the positives and vowing to eat healthily, drink lots of water and try to get some sleep in to allow me to be as productive as possible.

Take a deep breath
