Rudolf the Reindeer

It was a big moment for us this week. We watched our little man rock his role as Rudolf the Reindeer in the nursery Christmas show.

It’s hilarious how you feel as a parent when you are told what ‘part’ your little one will play in the show. You would have thought that he had come home to announce he was the lead in a Westend Musical.

Ah, the immense pride. It doesn’t matter that the whole nursery have a role and that even the 6 month olds are involved, it is big news. It was my sons first Christmas event.

Sadly, B didn’t show too much enthusiasm for the role, instead relentlessly asked if he could be Captain America. He wasn’t taking no for an answer, apparently Captain America is very important at Christmas.

On the day of the show he did us proud. He didn’t sing one word and spent most the show munching on a bread stick but hey, he didn’t cry.

My 84 year old Nan was the best. Turns out that she spent the whole show waving and smiling at the wrong Reindeer. Who to add insult to injury is a girl! Might be time to give the little man a haircut.
